Boerne about 8am with two routes. One would go 87 to Eden then cut over to
Lowake, the other would take hwy 16 from Fredericksburg to San Saba then cut
west through the back roads to Lowake. The hwy 87 route could easily be
traversed in 3 hours (at the speed limit), the hwy 16 route is longer and
require a bit more velocity. This way people who wanted to take the sane
rate could get there about the same time as the less sane crowd (about 11:15
to 11:30). |

16 – 7:30 AM Third Sunday Ride. It’s time once again for
the infamous Lowake Steak Run. We’ve got a slightly different route
this year (it’s even longer than in previous years). This steak is worth
every inch of the 200+ miles (one way) we are going to have to ride to get
it. We will depart the Exxon at 1604 and 16 at 7:30 AM. Eat breakfast before
you show up ‘cause we ain’t stopping but maybe once for gas. This is long
ride that goes, rain or shine (excepting dangerous weather). Due to the
distance, you need to be prepared for any and all kinds of weather. Will try
to have two routes to accommodate different riding styles. |

General Info - Door prizes, and vendors, BMW Denver onsite, free camping in
the City Park & high school (quiet camping) Friday-Monday, hot showers, food
vendors, music, Breakfast & Dinner included, rally pin (guaranteed to
pre-registered only), field events, and great roads to ride in beautiful
Colorado. Off-site RV space available.
Cost -: $30 until 6/21, $35 at the gate, kids 8-15 $15, and under 8 are
free.
While at the rally check out info about our organized ride leaving Paonia on
the 12th to the MOA International Rally in Spokane. Part of the ride will
follow the Lewis and
Clark Trail.
